Despite its youth, the wine already shows impressive balance and fine tannins. The nose is the pure translation of the Baga variety, with hints of flowers, wild berries, smoky and leathery notes which complement the chalky character reminiscent of the vineyards’ terroir.

The palate shows incredible structure and sophistication, the vibrant fruit and excellent acidity create a delicate, elegant and exceptionally fine wine overall. The finish is refreshing, saline and clearly expresses the wine’s limestone terroir.

This wine will drink beautifully when young, showing off its harmony, but it also promises great ageing potential.

The Lote D is a very special terroir-driven wine whose every aromatic nuance reflects the deeply calcareous South-facing vineyard slope from which it was produced. With its light colour, low alcohol content and tremendous ageing potential, it is a tribute to the great Bairrada wines of the past.
