<p></p><p>The first ODISSEIA wines were produced in 2004 but Jean-Hugues Gros had already been working in the Douro region since 1999.</p> <p>He has found in the Douro region a wine making potential that allows the development of a wide variety of elegant and versatile <em>terroir</em> wines.</p>
<p></p><p>Quinta de Sá de Baixo is located in Sedielos, municipality of Peso da Régua. </p> <p>The red wines are made with tanning, prolonged macerations and are partly matured in stainless steel and partly in French oak barrels</p>
<p></p><p>Quinta wines were born in one small plot of the terraces of Quinta de São Luiz. From the vines that have been planted more than 50 years ago, small yield. These wines combine a long ageing period in barrel and the expertise of the winemaker into complex and elegant wines, with an engaging structure.</p>
<p></p><p>Dona Matilde is produced from Old Vines with local grape varieties, mainly Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca and Tinta Amarela. It is a wine with a ruby color, with a complex aroma, initially to cherry and strawberry followed by mint, fig and spices. In the mouth it is soft and smooth but with plenty of volume and structure. The wine shows hints of strawberry throughout the taste. Long aftertaste.</p>
<p></p><p>Quinta do Silval is situated in the Douro Demarcated Region, emblematic for its excellent wines and its singular beauty, classified in 2001 by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site.</p>
