Torero 2010 Red Wine

Torero Tinto has been aged for 3 years in used barrels and another 4 years in the bottle. In the soul has a typical Alentejo blend with Aragonez, Trincadeira and Alicante Bouschet. The wine has race, invests with nobility, showing a bouquet softened by time, the freshness gives it a beautiful vivacity

André Herrera de Almeida started his activity as a winemaker in the final stage of his degree, after sharing harvests in both hemispheres he settled in Portugal where he gives oenological consultancy to four small producers in Alentejo.
Torero wines are produced in Murteirinha, André's family estate and are intended to be signature wines, with their own character, that do not want to occupy but share a space increasingly open to new challenges, and because the challenge is a characteristic of youth, the image is appealing to a market that is increasingly informed and global

Luisa Amorim discovered the Alentejo at an early age - where the greens and browns of the cork oak trees mixed with the holm oaks and olive trees, in an immense and seemingly infinite territory, as she stayed in the region before heading south for her summer holidays in the Algarve. In addition to cork, which plays a central role in her family universe, Luisa soon discovered that wine is one of her great passions. She later began to manage the Quinta Nova of Nossa Senhora do Carmo estate in the Douro and the Taboadella estate in the Dão region. Her family originally acquired the Herdade Aldeia de Cima estate in 1994. In 2017 she decided to rebuild the small village and plant a vineyard in the Serra do Mendro, which soon became a life project

Quinta do Mouro is located at the gates of the city of Estremoz, and belonged for centuries to the Zagalos family, one of the wealthiest in town. This original "quinta" in Alentejo, where the vast estates dominate, has an 18th century grooved house, charming gardens, bowls and 18th century tanks. In 1979, at the age of 26, luck dictated Miguel Louro's fate at a poker table, among friends, when he had the dilemma of buying a Porsche or Quinta do Mouro. The first hectares of vineyard would be planted in 1989, after a failed incursion into cattle breeding, and today he is one of the most iconic wine producers in the region.
