Barca Velha represents the unquestionable and most outstanding quality of Douro wines, being a reference for excellent vintages.

The 2011 harvest has a deeper ruby color, an intense and complex aroma, where spices such as pepper stand out, balsamic notes of resin and tobacco box, artichoke notes, as well as bright red fruits and aromas of high-quality wood. 

All these characteristics perfectly integrated, make that, in the mouth, it manifests a lively acidity, intense tannins, and hints of spices and black fruits.

As Casa Ferreirinha has accustomed us to, its finish is long, refined and perfectly balanced.
