Séries Cornifesto Red Wine

Cornifesto is one of the oldest grape varietals in the Douro, with constant presence in the regions oldest vines, for its rusticity and adaptability, becoming one of the farmer’s favourite grapes uo until the beginning of the 70s. A very original varietal, producing very low yields, characterized by a medium sized, compact cluster and small berries with very thick dark skin, which suggest good quality and a very diverse style of wine

The Series wines represent the passion for innovation and experimentation in the search for new and interesting wines.

This effort reflects the backstage work developed by winemaking and viticulture team, through a selection of more than 30 different indiginous grape varietals (some close to extinction) planted in Real Companhia Velha estates in the last 20 years. Thus, the grand objective is to search for a new style of Douro wine through the most distinct varieties and test it amongst our consumers
