<p>Em fevereiro de 2009, João Afonso e sua família adquiriram uma pequena fazenda de 6 hectares no Parque Natural da Serra de S. Mamede. Está localizado no anfiteatro da aldeia de Reguengo a uma altitude de 600 metros, olhando para sul e Alentejo a perder de vista A propriedade tem 3,9 hectares de vinha muito velha (em 1932 já existiu) dividido entre parcelas de uvas brancas (16) e tintas (12), todos misturados e consociados com olivais (que não permite a produção de vinho Alentejo DOC) .</p> <p>A biodiversidade e a ecologia são os motores do projeto: o tipo atual de agricultura é orgânica (certificação de Ecocert) e o objetivo é praticar a agricultura biodinâmica em 100% nos próximos 3 anos. Todo o trabalho agrícola - no tratamento e manutenção de solos e plantas - é manual.</p>
