Maquete Barro 2022 White Wine

Maquete Barro White is a maceration wine that boasts a vibrant and deep yellow color. On the nose, it reveals a serious aroma with notes of ripe stone fruit and nuances of dried vegetables. Upon tasting, it stands out for its rustic, complex, and structured profile, where notes of clay and slight oxidative touches are balanced by a notable and striking acidity, extending into a long and persistent finish. Due to its deeply gastronomic character, it pairs perfectly with rich oven-baked fish dishes, game meats, traditional meat dishes, and more complex aged cheeses.

Maquete Barro White is a talha wine from Alentejo, produced under the Anonymous Productions project, conceived by two long-time friends and oenologists, João Ramos and Nuno Duarte. Inspired by their family origins in the region and their desire to preserve ancestral techniques, they created this project focused on minimal intervention and the valorization of old vineyards in organic mode, located on the left bank of the Guadiana river (Amareleja). The name of the producer reflects the philosophy of putting the identity of the land and the wine tradition ahead of the protagonism of those who make the wine, resulting in artisanal and ultra-limited editions.
