Carlos foi escolhido entre os indicados de várias regiões vinícolas portuguesas e ao anunciar o vencedor, o Vinho referiu-se a ele como “Um dos enólogos mais brilhantes desta geração. ”

Este elogio é testemunho do trabalho de Carlos ao longo de duas décadas, que viram a família a construir sobre o forte legado bequeathed por seus ancestrais. Charles se juntou à empresa em 1995 e passou a suceder seu pai, Peter, como provador e enólogo para as Casas do Porto da família, bem como ser o enólogo principal para os vinhos DOC Douro da família que estão cada vez mais ganhando reconhecimento em todo o mundo.
