Susana Esteban was born in Tui, Spain. She holds a degree in Chemical Sciences from the University of Santiago de Compostela and a Master's degree in Viticulture and Oenology from the University of La Rioja. She began her trajectory as an oenologist in 1999 at Quinta do Côtto, and later worked as an oenologist at Quita do Crasto between 2002 and 2007. Both farms are located in the Douro.
During this course, his work has been recognized both nationally and internationally. In 2012 she was awarded the most prestigious award that an oenologist can receive in Portugal, the title of "Winemaker of the Year", by Revista de Vinhos, having been the only woman to whom this award has been awarded.
In January 2016 he was awarded the "Producer of the Year 2015" by the prestigious magazine "Wine - The Essence of Wine", for the enormous success achieved with the wines produced, both nationally and internationally.
