<p>Rubus wines represent yet another facet of the work of Rui Roboredo Madeira, although with a slightly different concept and market positioning from his more well-known ranges, such as Beyra or Castello d'Alba. <br /><br />While the Beyra brand focuses exclusively on the extreme identity of the Beira Interior and altitude, the Rubus project often emerges associated with an author's wine philosophy with a very gastronomic profile, elegant and with a strong connection to the Portuguese winemaking tradition, exploring the potential of different terroirs and old vines.<br /><br />The name Rubus makes a scientific and poetic allusion to the botanical genre of blackberries and wild fruits (Rubus), which are very common and desired aromatic descriptors in high-quality red wines.</p>
