Caves São João 98 Anos de História White Wine is an exceptional white wine from Dão, celebrating nearly a century of legacy from Caves São João. Crafted with minimal intervention to highlight the potential of its grapes and the classicism of the region's white wines, this blend of Encruzado, Cerceal-Branco, and Malvasia-Fina aged for six months on fine lees in seasoned wooden vats. It was bottled without stabilization and with coarse filtration to preserve its authenticity.
Caves São João 98 Anos de História White Wine has a bright straw yellow color, the wine presents a very complex aroma, featuring evident mineral notes (flint, chert), phosphorus, spices, dried vegetable, and very subtle fruity and dried flower hints, with the oak perfectly integrated. On the palate, it stands out for its great freshness, volume, and elegance, with vibrant acidity and remarkable persistence. These characteristics give it excellent gastronomic aptitude, making it ideal for seafood, grilled fish, white meats, and cheeses, alongside a notable aging potential.
