Álvaro de Castro er en civilingeniør og arvet denne ejendom i 1980, hvilket angiver sig udelukkende til den, restaurerede familiens tradition i produktion af vin, brudt i generationer.
 
At tage sine referencer til unge og erindre de vine, der produceres af Engineer Vilhena i studiecentret Nelas.Dens første vin vises derefter med vintageen i 1989.
 
Fra denne tid til i dag er det blevet støttet i oenology af Engo.Magalhães Coelho og for nylig af hans datter Eng. Maria Castro og også af Engineer Ataíde Semedo.

This profile is largely due to a winemaking process that involves skin contact, which subtly aligns it with the style of the so-called "orange wines". However, it still preserves the freshness and elegance that are characteristic of the Dão region. It has a well-balanced alcohol content ranging between 12.5% and 13%, and it is aged in stainless steel vats which help maintain its aromatic purity and its distinct minerality.<br /><br />On the nose, this wine is delicate and expressive, revealing mineral notes that evoke stone, complemented by white fruit such as green apple, hints of orange peel, and subtle touches of fennel and tea. On the palate, it displays good structure and volume, which are supported by a vibrant and firm acidity that emphasizes its mineral component.
