<p>Vilar de Torpim Reserva Red is a wine that reflects the profile of high-altitude reds from the Beira Interior. Crafted from a blend of traditional regional grape varieties, such as Touriga Nacional, Rufete, and Tinta Roriz, it stands out for its balance between the maturation of the fruit and the typical freshness of the mountain climate. The year 2022 endowed it with a good concentration of aromas and a firm structure, with the stage in wood adding complexity without overshadowing the identity of the terroir.<br /><br />The project is signed by the winemaker Jorge Rosa Santos, who uses the Vilar de Torpim brand as a space for interpretation and enhancement of the winemaking potential of Figueira de Castelo Rodrigo. Through an approach focused on the natural expression of the vineyard, the winemaker seeks to create structured, elegant wines with a strong gastronomic component. The Vilar de Torpim Reserva Red is a testament to this dedication, a wine that exemplifies the richness and depth of the region's terroir, while also showcasing the unique characteristics of its grape varieties. It is a shining example of the winemaking prowess of the Beira Interior region and the skillful artistry of Jorge Rosa Santos.</p>

<p>Vilar de Torpim Touriga Nacional Unoaked is a red wine that seeks to present a minimalist and pure interpretation of the most famous Portuguese grape variety in the high-altitude terroir of Beira Interior. By foregoing the oak-aging process (unoaked), the wine's focus is placed on the natural expression of the grape. This leads to a markedly fresh profile, focused on clean black fruit and intense floral notes (like violet), typical of the variety. In the mouth, the absence of oak enhances the vibrant acidity of the region, delivering an elegant red, with present but soft tannins, and a very clean and straightforward finish.<br /><br />The project is signed by winemaker Jorge Rosa Santos, who uses the brand Vilar de Torpim, based in the municipality of Figueira de Castelo Rodrigo, to explore different viticultural approaches in the region. Known for his experimental spirit, the winemaker focuses on demonstrating how traditional grape varieties behave under extreme conditions of altitude and granitic soils.
