After finishing a degree in Microbiology, which turned out to be a good basis for oenology, the giant passion for wine spoke louder and Joana Cunha eventually did a postgraduate degree in oenology and viticulture at the Catholic University of Porto in order to deepen their knowledge. From there to work on his own vineyard, it was a small step.
When, in 1994, the family bought the "Quinta do Mondego" was the beginning of the realization of the dream. What started with a huge passion for wine, is now a family business.
Strong, consolidated and led by Joana - a unique woman. At the moment it is responsible for four brands present in the Portuguese and international market, taking the Dão region beyond borders with the objective of reaching higher standards with more elegant and fresh wines.
He passed through Australia, where he learned a lot but in Portugal, along with Francisco Olazabal, an excellent teacher, Joana took the first steps to become the most important producers and enologists of the region.
