Quinta de Cottas produces high quality wines with a strong personality. Quinta de Cottas with an area of 10 ha located in the Douro Region, at Cima Corgo, has its vineyards planted with the traditional Douro grape varieties in order to preserve the genetic heritage of the region. Enjoying of an excellent sun exposure, its old vines planted on schist soils offer grapes of a unique character and profile.

Quinta de Cottas vineyard is composed by a mix of traditional and noble grape varieties as Touriga Franca, Touriga Nacional, Tinta Francisca, Tinta Barroca and Tinta Carvalha. The vineyard is still covered by new plantations with a total area of 5.5 hectares, totally mechanized and planted on terraces and on top. The vineyard is divided into homogeneous caste plots in order to allow a vinfication by grape variety and great flexibility in making lots. In red grapes it stands Touriga Naconal, Touriga Franca, Tinto Cão, Tinta Roriz and Sousão. In white grapes there is Viosinho, Gouveio, Arinto and Rabigato.
