The Quinta da Extrema Ensaios Extremes Vinhas de Altitude White Wine reveals a straw yellow color, with a fragrance that carries notes of candied orange fruit and fig. Upon tasting, it is broad with a medium to high acidity, a gentle presence that highlights a lot of ripe fruit and some white pepper. The finish is fine, long, and persistent. This wine is a blend of Rabigato, Gouveio, and Viosinho grape varieties.
Quinta da Extrema Ensaios Extremes Vinhas de Altitude White Wine is carefully crafted from grapes harvested from the highest altitude vineyards, where Rabigato, Gouveio, and Viosinho thrive in transitional soils between granite and shale. This unique terrain infuses the wine with a distinct freshness and minerality. The grapes are meticulously hand-picked and placed in 20kg boxes, ensuring they arrive at the winery in pristine condition. At the winery, the winemaking process takes place in French oak barrels in a manner designed to respect the natural expression of the grape varieties and the terroir. After aging for 10 months in the French oak barrels, the wine is bottled and matures for a further year before it is ready for enjoyment.
