HM Borges Sercial 1993 Madeira Wine shows light amber colour with golden reflections. Complex, exuberant and ethereal aroma, characteristic of this grape variety. Notes of iodine, varnish, orange zest, nuts, honey and toast. On the palate, it behaves like a Madeira with a non-cutting dryness and complex aromatic concentration. Well-structured notes of wood, firm tannins, which, combined with the characteristics of the grape variety, convey rich and diverse aromas, predominantly nuts, beeswax and some vanilla.
Aged for 29 years in French and American oak casks, using the traditional stonemasonry process, until bottling in 2022.
H.M.Borges was founded in 1877 by Henrique Menezes Borges, who dedicated his whole life to the search for a selection of wines produced in Madeira Island, in order to proceed to their aging.
