The unique "terroir" of Quinta do Monte Bravo is located on the right bank of the River Torto, in the parish of Ervedosa do Douro (Cima-Corgo), right in the heart of the Douro Demarcated Region, all property classified as "A ".
It stands out for its inclination, sun exposure and stoniness.
There are three generations in the possession of the family of the current owner, Dr. Francisco José Márcia Rodrigues, the 60ha of vines are composed of strains whose age ranges from 10 to 80 years. Winters are mild and usually little rainy and summers extremely hot.
The Winery is equipped with modern oenological equipment so that the winemaker, Jean-Hugues Gros, can "command" the behavior of the best grapes and obtain the results that we all expect; wines of author, that respect the raw material and are the reflection of its cradle.
The new era of the Quinta do Monte Bravo Wines is based on a new oenological accompaniment complemented by a new, contemporary and fresh image, which seeks to lead its wines to a smiling and sustained future, a perfect symbiosis between the legacy and the contemporary.
