Luís Duarte is one of the most awarded winemakers in Portugal.
Ranked with the title of Winemaker of the Year in 1997, 2007 and 2014 by WINE - Revista de Vinhos, one of the most prestigious specialized publications in Portugal. In 2007 it repeated the feat, conquering again this title. In 2010, he was nominated for the "Best Winemaker in the World" category at the 2010 Wine Awards, a contest conducted by the German magazine Der Feinschmecker and was among the six finalists. It was the winner of 3 Trophys in the 'International Wine Challenge 2005' competition with the 'Herdade da Malhadinha 2003' wine and was also the winner of the Gold Talha in the contest 'The Best Alentejo Wines in Production'.
With more than 25 years of his career, always in Alentejo, Luis Duarte has been signing many of the Alentejo wines that give him the most pleasure and the greatest success he has achieved. And recently he has presented us with wines from his personal project, elaborated with his vineyards, from those that surround his house. From an oenologist, and now producer, with such a course, a wine is expected consequent with his career. And this, for those who follow and know the work of Luís Duarte, is one of those premises that is guaranteed from the outset.
