Exuberant and appealing nose. The aromas of red fruits dominate with a balanced maturation, without being exaggerated. Evidence for the notes of red cherry, gooseberry and raspberry. In the mouth, it is admirable the acid freshness in a red wine of the Douro, which positively reflects the influence of the location of these vines on a cooler terrain. The fruity notes, which are allied to the vibrant minerality, provide a proof marked by lightness

<p></p><p>In 2008, winemaker Carlos Magalhães challenged his friends João Nuno Magalhães, Manuel Castro and Lemos, Albano Magalhães and Bernardo Lobo Xavier, who later joined João Anacoreta Correia, to acquire Quinta da Saudade.</p>
<p></p><p><span>Soc. Clemente Menéres Lda. (Menéres Family Estate) is a family-owned Estate company since 1874, lying Northeast of Portugal.</span><br /><br /><span>The company produces wine, olive oil and cork at Quinta do Romeu, Bragança district, and also owns the now extinct Monchique Convent and its outbuildings - which house the company's head-office and warehouses - in the marine promenade along the Douro River, in Porto, an area classified as World Heritage.</span><br /><br /><span>The Estate is entirely run under certified Organic Farming</span></p>
