The Sovibor - Soc. Vinhos de Borba, Lda. Is a Commercial Society by Quotas constituted by public deed, the 16 of December of 1968. It is the result of the merger of two small producers who started their activities many years before 1968 and later created the firms Manuel Joaquim Mira and Domingos Luiz Pinto & Filho, Lda., Both with wide traditions in the wine field. Therefore, and as a result of such merger, SOVIBOR is managed by people traditionally linked to the wine business.

<p></p><p>Casa Ermelinda freitas is a wine brand recognized by the world for its magnificent wines. From its very beginnings, made the quality of its vineyards and wines a top priority. When the company first started, wines were produced and sold wholesale and unbranded. It was the current management that decided to take on the challenge that is involved in creating an own brand wine. 1997 was the year of the company's new beginning in wine making, with red wine "Terras do Po tinto", being the first to be produced and bottled on the premises of the Ermelinda Freitas winery.</p>
<p></p><p>Quinta de Fafide is located on the outskirts of São João da Pesqueira on the River Torto at an average altitude of 550 meters. In this Quinta the grapes reach maturation without any sources of stress, either hydric or thermal, obtaining wines of unusual concentration and elegance.</p>
<p></p><p>The company was founded in 1926 by Mr. Messias Baptista, who served as chairman until 1973. The management is still held by the descendants of MESSIAS family. <span id="result_box" lang="en" xml:lang="en">Since its foundation</span> that MESSIAS <span lang="en" xml:lang="en">has been producing and selling high quality wines from the main demarcated regions:</span> Bairrada, Douro, Dão, Vinho Verde, Beiras and Vinho do Porto. <p></p><p>Monte Velho Red was launched for the first time in 1992, its name comes from the monte located next to the Caridade reservoir, at Herdade do Espor. At the time, the wine boasted the same origin and philosophy as Espor Reserva but was created to reach more people and make daily wine consumption an experience.</p>

<p>Vinha das Virtudes, a project that has as its main inspiration the seven virtues of the epic poem of Prudencio, a Roman poet who lived between the years 348 and 410. It portrays in Psichomachia a battle between virtues and vices, which illustrates the struggle of soul against the seven deadly sins, in which virtues always triumph. </p>
<p>Located in Alentejo (Portugal), in full mount, presents unique conditions for agriculture. With around 700ha of vineyards, olive groves and other crops. In this territory are planted about 40 grape varieties, 4 varieties of olives, orchards and vegetable gardens</p>
