Solstício Tinto by Cabeças do Reguengo is a distinctive red wine from the Portalegre subregion in Alentejo, Portugal. Made from a field blend of 14 to 16 native grape varieties—including Alicante Bouschet, Aragonez, and Trincadeira—this wine is sourced from century-old vines planted in granite soils at 600 meters of altitude on the Serra de São Mamede. The altitude and biodiversity contribute to the wine’s unique identity and refined structure.
On the nose, it reveals dark red fruits and a subtle touch of spice. The palate is firm and dry, with a slightly chewy texture and fine, stony tannins. The fruit character is dark and dry, offering great purity and a crisp, persistent finish. With excellent aging potential, Solstício Tinto is a wine of complexity and elegance that truly reflects its high-altitude terroir.
