<p></p><p>Very few producers, and especially Madeira Wine, find in their history such a great revolution, as happened with Barbeito. Being a supplier of wines in bulk and from one moment to the other become a reference of the region of Madeira Wines, it is work. It all happened in 1991 when Ricardo Freitas joined the family business and decided, together with the Japanese Kinoshita with whom they joined, to make Barbeito one of the most important producers of Madeira Wine.</p>

<p></p><p>The founders of D’Oliveiras were visionaries that saw the true value of Madeira Wine: its ability to improve over time. Therefore they started storing as much Madeira Wine as possible, letting it slowly mature inside the barrels for future generations to be able to enjoy it further. For that reason, D’Oliveiras is the only Madeira Wine company that owns Madeira Wine bottles and Barrels from as far as the 1850’s that can still be commercially purchased.</p>

<p></p><p>This wine was filtered and does not require decanting. It was bottled ready for drinking and will keep well once opened. It is excellent as an aperitif but is also well suited with dishes such as onion soup, roast game and caramelized vegetables, Peking duck or cheeses such as Parmesan.</p>

<p></p><p>arbeito &amp; Niepoort Sir Ceal 5 Years</p> <p>Made from the Sercial grape variety, this Madeira wine stems from vines growing at higher altitudes. To keep true to the Niepoort style, the grapes are harvested a little earlier. In collaboration with Ricardo Diogo, was created a wine which represents the personality of these two “Sirs” of Portuguese wine.</p>
