<p></p><p>The brothers Antonio and Edmar Monteiro are the founders of the 1912 Winemakers company. <br />The passion for the world of wine comes early in the life of these two brothers, who since childhood helped their father at the Quinta de São Bernardo property on the banks of the Douro River.<br />Later they acquired Quinta de Águas, which allowed them to increase production but maintaining the same quality as the wines produced</p> <p></p>
<p></p><p>In the oldest wine region in the world, the Quinta da Penalva or Perdiz was born in the 1990s. This arose from the joining of small plots of land, mostly old vines, inherited from ancestors for whom the cultivation of vines was of little secret, as they had always done it. Later, and already with the current owner, more parcels were added, thus joining the old vines to new plantations, cultivated using the most recent planting techniques</p>

<p></p><p>The history of the 100HECTARES wines begins in the early 70’s.</p> <p>The estates of the family are the origin of their wines, and the production is made exclusively from grapes coming from their properties, which is at the heart of the family’s production philosophy</p>

Lua Cheia wants to show the world what is best produced in Portugal. The passion for the wines began in the Douro, but was divided later by other regions</span></p>

Thus it has been since the company’s founding in the eighteenth century by Bernardo Ferreira, whose formula was refined by his descendants, especially his granddaughter Dona Antónia Adelaide Ferreira, known affectionately as Ferreirinha or Ferreirinha-da-Régua</p>
