Vadio Branco is a white wine from the Bairrada region, produced by Vadio Wines, founded by Luís Patrão. It is made from a blend of Cercial (60–80%) and Bical (20–40%) grapes, grown in sandy and clay-limestone soils, showcasing the region’s characteristic Atlantic freshness. The grapes are harvested in the morning and gently pressed as whole bunches. The Cercial is fermented in stainless steel to preserve its vibrant character, while the Bical ferments in used oak barrels, adding complexity and creaminess. Both components are aged on fine lees for about 6 months.
In the glass, it presents a bright lemon hue and a clean, expressive nose with aromas of mint, lime, and grapefruit, marked by the elegance of the grape varieties. On the palate, it is crisp and fresh, with vibrant acidity, the typical texture of Bical, and a long, elegant finish with hints of pear and apple wrapped in subtle minerality. With an alcohol content of around 12.5–13%, it is a refreshing white wine, perfect for pairing with seafood, grilled fish, or fresh salads — a delightful and refined choice for any shared meal or outdoor gathering.
