Outside Madeira Island, it is a rare grape variety that can only be found in regions where the sea is close by, taking on another name such as Molar in Colares, where it is practically extinct, Saborinho in the Azores, which is in the process of recovery, and the Canaries, where it takes on the name of TintaBastardo where it has very little expression.Not to be confused with Bastardo (aka Trosseau), its half-sister.</p>

<p>Pe palat, Cossard Gordon Almsey 10 ani Madeira prezintă o culoare caldă de castan cu evidențiere de aur. Aromele sunt bogate și complexe, cu fructe uscate, caramei și mirodenii. Aroma este dulce, concentrată și plină în gură, cu straturi de fructe moale, note de portocale și condimente de citrice și condimente, finalizând lungi și delicioase. Are un conținut de alcool de 19%, zahăr rezidual ridicat (~ 115 g / l) și aciditatea totală de 6,5 g / l (tartric). Este excelent cu deserturi, budde bogate de ciocolată, dulciuri sau brânzeturi pe bază de fructe și rămâne stabilă timp de câteva luni după deschidere.</p>
