<p></p><p>Quinta da Pacheca is one of the best known estates in the Douro region and also one of the first properties to bottle wine under its own label. It is first mentioned in a document dated April 1738 but it was only in 1903, when Dom José Freire de Serpa Pimentel decided to develop his interest in oenology, began to seriously dedicate himself to the risky business of winemaking. This arose from the joining of small plots of land, mostly old vines, inherited from ancestors for whom the cultivation of vines was of little secret, as they had always done it. Later, and already with the current owner, more parcels were added, thus joining the old vines to new plantations, cultivated using the most recent planting techniques</p>

<p></p><p>The violet color on the nose reveals itself discreetly, with a predominance of freshness, green, mineral and a slight wet stone. In the mouth it is exuberant, predominating its strong acidity. Discreet and well-integrated toasting of the oak barrels where it was placed.</p>
