<p></p><p>The Quinta do Filoco vineyards produce the best nectars of the Douro region, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The vineyards and the Cellar were being modernized with new equipment, combining tradition and modernity in the well know how to make wine. The vineyards stretched along 130 hectares, surrounded by thickets with typically Mediterranean vegetation that contribute to the unique terroir of the Filoco wines.</p>

<p></p><p><span>Quinta da Fronteira Reserva harvest of 2015 has a deep, opaque, purple ruby color with a thin cranberry cherry rim. Dark cherry, dusky blackberry, smoky cedar, licorice, and earthy crushed stone aromas. Blackberry, tart spicy plum preserves, and rich oak flavors. Full body, rich grippy wooly tannins, medium plus acidity, and a lingering tart dark fruit and oak finish. Hefty, intense, tannic. I'll revisit this one in a few years.</span></p> <p></p> <p></p>

<p class="droidr t18 cinza66 lh150">Duorum Reserva Reserva Red Wine is aged for 18 to 24 months in French oak barrels (70% new and 30% second use), giving it great structure and complexity. It shows a deep ruby color and aromas of ripe blackberries, violets, exotic spices, and fine oak. On the palate, it is full-bodied and elegant, with firm yet ripe tannins, balanced acidity, and a long, persistent finish. With around 14–14.5% alcohol, this wine is perfect for aging and pairs beautifully with red meats and hearty dishes. The wine is crafted by winemakers João Portugal Ramos and José Maria Soares Franco, whose partnership brings together decades of Douro winemaking expertise.</p> <p></p> <p></p>

<p></p><p>Doda red wine displays a sumptuous ruby colour and, for a vintage as balanced as 2012, offers floral aromas, dark berries, deep complexity and some body. The wood is well-integrated in the delicate mineral character of the wine. On the palate, it shows intense concentration, with firm tannins and great structure. Its minerality and superb acidity lend the wine freshness and balance, with a very long and vivacious finish its the power of the Douro and the elegance of the D in perfect harmony</p>
