<p></p><p><span>Nuno Aguiar (winemaker, former collaborator of Anselmo Mendes) and António Olazabal Ferreira (marine biologist in accelerated conversion to winemaker) have launched a wine called Boina, the first one is from 2015 and has a very appealing aesthetic. A series of wines that the duo began to produce in the Douro and in Trás-os-Montes, under the Portugal Boutique Winery project. The brand Boina groups the wines without wood of the Douro.</span></p>

Its pale red hue of medium intensity is characteristic of the wines from the 2018 vintage. The nose is at the same time delicate and complex. <p></p><p>Located in the Roncão valley, a famous site for the quality of its wines, Quinta do Síbio presents itself as one of Real Companhia Velha’s oldest estates. Today the property, extends onto the plateau of Alijó with a total area of 101,5 ha enjoying South and West sun exposure, in between 90 and 550 metres of altitude</p> <p>The layout of the vines follow the level curves and are installed in traditional socalcos made os shist stones, highlighting the heritage of this property.</p> <p>Following a total restructuring of its vines, this charming quinta is one of the most innovative projects in the region, where we implement a vast program to recue some of Douro's oldest varieties, which were in risk of extintion.</p>
