<p></p><p>Vinurile lui Solar dos Lobos sunt rezultatul unei selecții triple de clustere care au venit numai din 75 ha de podgorie. Prima selecție începe în apropierea etapei pictorului, unde se face o subțiere de ciorchini, pentru a selecta doar cele care vor permite obținerea calității maxime. Cea de-a doua selecție are loc în timpul recoltei, când lucrătorii sunt avertizați să taie doar strugurii care sunt în condiții sanitare perfecte. Cea de-a treia selecție se face în timpul intrării de struguri de vinuri, deoarece recoltul este descărcat de la 20 kg cutii la covorașul de alegere, unde 2 până la 4 persoane elimină toate frunzele, ramurile și clusterele care nu arată prea verde sau prea matur.</p>

<p></p><p>Casa Ermelinda Freitas este o marcă de vin recunoscută de lume pentru vinurile sale magnifice. De la începuturile sale, a făcut calitatea podgoriilor și vinurilor o prioritate de vârf. Când compania a început pentru prima dată, vinurile au fost produse și vândute en-gros și desființate. A fost gestionarea actuală care a decis să preia provocarea care este implicată în crearea unui vin propriu de brand. 1997 a fost anul noului început al companiei în ceea ce privește vinul, cu vin roșu "Terras do Po Tinto", fiind primul care a fost produs și îmbuteliat în incinta vinăriei Ermelinda Freitas</p>

<p></p><p>Strugurii folosiți pentru albul roșu provin din viță de vie vechi care cresc pe malul drept al râului Douro, la o altitudine de 500 până la 600 de metri. Soiurile predominante de struguri sunt Rabigato, CEGA fac Larinho, Viosinho, Donzelinho și Gouveio. Solurile de schi de mica în care aceste viță de vie se dezvoltă împrumută vinurile rezultate o mulțime de mineralitate, eleganță și prospețime vibrantă.</p>
