Quinta da Casa Amarela has been in the possession of the same family since the year 1885. The housing, rebuilt and expanded in the first quarter of the last century, lends the name to the property, because of the yellow color with which it is painted . <p></p><p>Quinta do Silval is situated in the Douro Demarcated Region, emblematic for its excellent wines and its singular beauty, classified in 2001 by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site.</p>
<p></p><p>The brothers Antonio and Edmar Monteiro are the founders of the 1912 Winemakers company. <br />The passion for the world of wine comes early in the life of these two brothers, who since childhood helped their father at the Quinta de São Bernardo property on the banks of the Douro River.<br />Later they acquired Quinta de Águas, which allowed them to increase production but maintaining the same quality as the wines produced</p> <p></p>

<p>Produced from a blend of Rabigato, Viosinho and Gouveio. The grapes come from Provesende (20%) and the Murça area (80%)</p> <p>Fermentation in stainless steel vats for 20 days at a temperature of 15ºC (70% of the blend). Fermentation in new 500-litre French oak casks (30% of the blend)Ageing: 30% of the blend is aged for 8 months in the 500-litre casks.</p>

Its minerality and superb acidity lend the wine freshness and balance, with a very long and vivacious finish its the power of the Douro and the elegance of the D in perfect harmony</p>
