<p></p><p>At the end of the 90's, with the development of the activity, João Pedro Araújo's family decided to acquire Quinta da Vegia, in order to start producing red wines.</p> <p>Located in the Dão Region, next to the town of Penalva do Castelo, it currently has 20 ha of vineyards. His mindset followed a careful choice of grape varieties - Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz, Tinta Amarela, Alfrocheiro and Tinto Cão, Encruzado and Bical - in order to create Quinta da Vegia wines.</p>

<p>Casa da Passarella Villa Oliveira Vinha das Pedras Altas display a deep ruby or opaque red color. The aroma usually features a blend of red and dark fruits (such as cherry, blackberry, or plum), intertwined with mineral notes, balsamic nuances, and sometimes hints of spice, tobacco, or subtle oak, depending on the aging process. On the palate, it is typically a full-bodied and balanced wine, with well-integrated tannins, good acidity, and a long, persistent finish, reflecting the unique <i>terroir</i> of the "Pedras Altas" vineyard. For food pairing, this structured and complex red wine is ideal for accompanying robust meat dishes, such as roasted lamb or beef, game meats, and aged, intense cheeses. Its richness and firm tannins make it a perfect complement to flavorful and savory meals.</p>

<p></p><p>Produced from old vineyards of Dão, the grape juice ferments in barrels and foudre without temperature control. This is a low intervention white wine, very elegant with crisp acidity despites its density and complexity. Rich and fresh, makes us salivate with its vibrant acidity. Still a young white.</p>
