<p></p><p>Casal Garcia was born in 1939, a year in which the vintage was particularly good. Returning by train from the grape harvest in the Douro, the French oenologist Euge Hisse decided to interrupt his journey to Oporto after passing the vines of the Quinta da Aveleda, in Penafiel. The name came about by itself, since the wine was produced from one of the vines of Aveleda: that of Casal Garcia</p>

<p></p><p>Quinta Santa Cristina Grande Escolha is a white wine, vinificated from a cereful selection of the best grape varieties recommended by the Regi Demarcada dos Vinhos Verdes, fermented in controled temperatures, in order to keep and reveal all the fruty aroma of its grape varieties.</p>
<p></p><p>In a natural amphitheater with a southern exposure on the slopes of the river Douro, located on the border between the granitic zone of the Vinhos Verdes Region and the shale region of the Port Wines, Quinta de Covela is located since the 16th century.<br />With panoramic views over the river, the farmhouse has 49 hectares, 18 of which planted with vines, distributed in two parishes of the Baixo Douro, São Tomé de Covelas and Santa Cruz do Douro, recognized for their extraordinary natural beauty and rich cultural history</p>
<p></p><p>The Niepoort Dócil is the result of our search for a Vinho Verde which would reflect the region’s terroir and whose vinification would rely on the balance, structure and vibrant acidity of the Loureiro grape variety. This Loureiro comes from its traditional region, the Lima Valley, and is produced from vines growing in granitic soil</p>
