On the nose, it offers prominent red fruit aromas (such as cherry and raspberry) and a characteristic vegetal touch, sometimes with hints of pine. The palate is elegant, delicate, and complex, featuring a light to medium body, fresh acidity, and fine, well-integrated tannins. It culminates in a long, persistent finish, indicating good aging potential. Its refined nature makes it an excellent pairing for red meats (especially roasted and grilled), poultry, and aged cheeses.
