<p></p><p>The old house of Lagar de Fuso and Vara gave birth to Quinta do Lagar Novo.<br />This small agricultural property, with a history of grape and wine production, developed over more than 200 harvests, has about 5 ha of vineyard, installed according to the best and most recent viticultural techniques, under the guidance of the owner Luís Elias Gonçalves de Carvalho.</p> <p>The wine production of Quinta do Lagar Novo was born from the Carvalho family's desire to pay tribute to their ancestors and make high quality wines here.</p> <p></p>

The management is still held by the descendants of MESSIAS family. </span><span id="result_box" lang="en" xml:lang="en">Since its foundation</span><span> that MESSIAS </span><span lang="en" xml:lang="en"><span>has been producing and selling high quality wines from the main demarcated regions:</span></span><span> Bairrada, Douro, Dão, Vinho Verde, Beiras and Vinho do Porto. <p></p><p><span>Quinta de la Rosa port wine is made each year in the traditional manner, trodden in granite lagares from grapes grown at Quinta de la Rosa. Each year they keep back a small quantity of their best ports LBV quality and above. It is from these stocks that they blend their Tonel 12. This blending occurs on a regular basis to ensure that stocks are always fresh. For many years, before 1988, when they started selling port under the La Rosa brand, the Bergqvist family used to go down to 'Tonel 12' (a large 25 pipe barrel kept in the lodge under the house) and fill their decanter full of delicious ten year old tawny direct from the barrel. To this day they still refer to Tonel 12, instead of ten year old tawny, and decided to keep the name on the label</span></p>

<p></p><p>Teima Vinhas Velhas Red is a wine from the Serra de São Mamede, with finesse, depth and mountain freshness. From old vines at various altitudes (500-700), granite soils and from a fresh year. Made in a wine press with whole bunches and aged for 20 months in used barrels.</p>
