<p></p><p>Quinta do Espinho covers 20 hectares over Távora River on the left bank of Douro River, the wine culture centre of Douro Valley in the sub-region of Cima Corgo where some of the most emblematic Port Wine farms are situated.</p> <p>Thirty years ago, one branch of the Macedo Pinto family has taken over Quinta do Espinho, driving it to the production of top class red wine in the Douro</p>
<p>Produced from a blend of Rabigato, Viosinho and Gouveio. The grapes come from Provesende (20%) and the Murça area (80%)</p> <p>Fermentation in stainless steel vats for 20 days at a temperature of 15ºC (70% of the blend). Fermentation in new 500-litre French oak casks (30% of the blend)Ageing: 30% of the blend is aged for 8 months in the 500-litre casks.</p>
<p></p><p>The Quinta das Carvalhas is a property of great beauty and spectacularity, with a predominant position on the slope of the left bank of the Douro River in Pinhão, which extends along the slopes of the right bank of the affluent Torto River.<br />The earliest written references to the Quinta date back to 1759, with its magnificent Old Vines, of post-phylloxeric planting, reaching the respectable age of a century</p>
