Quinta da Rede, located in the parish of Santa Cristina, has its oldest historical records dating back to 1484, making it part of the Douro Wine Region even before the demarcation of 1756, carried out by Marquês de Pombal under authorization of king D. José I

<p></p><p>The company was founded in 1926 by Mr. Messias Baptista, who served as chairman until 1973. The management is still held by the descendants of MESSIAS family. <span id="result_box" lang="en" xml:lang="en">Since its foundation</span> that MESSIAS <span lang="en" xml:lang="en">has been producing and selling high quality wines from the main demarcated regions:</span> Bairrada, Douro, Dão, Vinho Verde, Beiras and Vinho do Porto. <p></p><p><span>Lua Cheia em Vinhas Velhas is a result of the passion to display the individuality and character of the Douro by the creators of this project.</span></p>
<p></p><p>H.O Pintão is the result of the rigorous selection of barrels from the different plots of Vinhas Velhas, with great emphasis on the "Travessas" plot.</p> <p>It is a wine with a deep ruby color and intensity. Its aroma is very young and full of fresh fruit, concentrated blackberry, blackcurrant, forest with balsamic and spicy barrel nuances. In the mouth, the tannins are both powerful and fine, giving this wine enormous ageing capacity of this wine.</p>
<p></p><p><span>Vale Meão Red is very concentrated in colour. Deep and complex nose with lots of aromatic nuances, yet maintaining the balance between them.
