<p></p><p>Quinta do Couquinho spans across 70 hectares, of which approximately 60 hectares are cultivated. Filled mostly with vineyards and olive groves, a small orchard of almond, orange, clementine, fig and apple trees complete the landscape. Located in the Douro Superior area of the Douro Demarcated Region, it borders the Alto Douro Wine Region, the area that was classified by UNESCO as a world heritage site in 2001</p>

Resulted from the union of 15 producers, owners of 18 Quintas spread throughout the best terroirs in the 3 sub-regions of the Douro region (Baixo Corgo, Cima Corgo and Douro Superior). This arose from the joining of small plots of land, mostly old vines, inherited from ancestors for whom the cultivation of vines was of little secret, as they had always done it. Later, and already with the current owner, more parcels were added, thus joining the old vines to new plantations, cultivated using the most recent planting techniques</p>
