<p></p><p>The company was founded in 1926 by Mr. Messias Baptista, who served as chairman until 1973. The management is still held by the descendants of MESSIAS family. <span id="result_box" lang="en" xml:lang="en">Since its foundation</span> that MESSIAS <span lang="en" xml:lang="en">has been producing and selling high quality wines from the main demarcated regions:</span> Bairrada, Douro, Dão, Vinho Verde, Beiras and Vinho do Porto. Currently the vineyard area extends over 12 hectares in 5 distinct plots and 2 ha of olive grove</p>

Also known as "Melos do Pucaro". Nowadays Quinta do Paço belongs to Seacampo, a reference producer in the region of Dão</p>

<p></p><p>At the end of the 90's, with the development of the activity, João Pedro Araújo's family decided to acquire Quinta da Vegia, in order to start producing red wines.</p><p>Located in the Dão Region, next to the town of Penalva do Castelo, it currently has 20 ha of vineyards. His mindset followed a careful choice of grape varieties - Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz, Tinta Amarela, Alfrocheiro and Tinto Cão, Encruzado and Bical - in order to create Quinta da Vegia wines.</p>
<p></p><p>Pretexto Palhete Rosé Wine comes from the co-fermentation of white and red traditional grapes from Dão. The blend is composed by 70% of Jaen and Alfrocheiro and 30% of Encruzado and Bical from altitude vineyards and granitic soils. Intense colour with delicate aromas with spice character, discreet fruit and with some green notes associated to the use of whole bunch. Mouth with good acidity making this wine a gastronomic wine but very pleasant served at a lower temperature.</p>
