Casa da Passarella A Descoberta Red Wine is a vibrant red wine from the heart of Portugal’s Dão region, produced by the historic estate Casa da Passarella. This wine is a blend of traditional local grape varieties including Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz, Alfrocheiro, and Jaen. It is crafted using temperature-controlled fermentation and aged on fine lees for 6 months, enhancing its texture and aromatic expression. The winemaking approach highlights the purity of the fruit and the character of the Dão’s granite soils.
In the glass, A Descoberta Tinto presents a deep ruby color and aromas of fresh red berries, cherry, and light floral notes. On the palate, it is elegant, smooth, and well-balanced, with soft tannins and a clean, persistent finish. This wine is both easy to enjoy and refined, making it a versatile choice for pairing with grilled meats, roasted vegetables, or hard cheeses. It's a great introduction to the charm and complexity of Dão wines

Planted at plain sight in the heart of Dão, the grapes that give birth to this Clandestino have a very distant origin. While detailed specific tasting notes for this wine can vary by vintage, the Tinto Cão grape generally contributes to wines with firm but rounded tannins, good acidity, and can develop complex aromas with age. For food pairing, wines made from Tinto Cão are often recommended with smoked meats, red meats, game, and aged cheeses, making it a versatile choice for a range of hearty dishes.</p>
