This arose from the joining of small plots of land, mostly old vines, inherited from ancestors for whom the cultivation of vines was of little secret, as they had always done it. <p>Quinta da Pacheca is one of the best known estates in the Douro region and also one of the first properties to bottle wine under its own label. <p>On the nose, very fresh and elegant with notes of wild berries and black cherries in balance with seductive nuances of licorice, the aroma being complexed by discrete wood notes. In the mouth, it is very concentrated, warm, with firm tannins and soft texture, very intense finish and persists to show strongly the strength of the wines of the Alto Douro.</p>
