Located in the heart of the Douro Demarcated Region, Quinta da Deserta has its vineyards rooted between the banks of the river Tavora and the river Douro, in schistose soils. The combination of very hot, dry summers and cold, wet winters results in low yields but with high quality grapes.
The products sold from Quinta da Deserta are certified.

The Series wines represent the passion for innovation and experimentation in the search for new and interesting wines.

This effort reflects the backstage work developed by winemaking and viticulture team, through a selection of more than 30 different indiginous grape varietals (some close to extinction) planted in Real Companhia Velha estates in the last 20 years. Thus, the grand objective is to search for a new style of Douro wine through the most distinct varieties and test it amongst our consumers

Diálogo is a pleasant, easy drinking red wine, but with complexity, mineral notes and great depth, found in the classic Douro wines. It is produced from vineyards located in the Cima Corgo sub-region, being the main varieties, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz, Touriga Nacional, Tinta Amarela and Tinta Barroca. Its freshness and youth well integrated with soft tannins, make this wine, full of Douro character, a very pleasant wine to drink. The illustration of Luís Afonso tells stories on the labels of Diálogo since its very first edition

Quinta da Ferradosa Vinhas Velhas Red Wine is the fruit of a vineyard that is so diverse in grape varieties as it is in its soil types. This creates a wine, which is very concentrated on the nose and in the mouth reveals black fruits like plum and black cherry allied to pine notes. The tannins are present, and bring to the wine an incredible structure. The wine is then balanced by a marked freshness, making this Quinta da Ferradosa a very elegant wine.
