Orange and amphora are the first wines to inaugurate the concept Poças Fora da Série (Out of the Box). The centenary Port and DOC Douro wine company maintains the creative attitude and reuses artifacts and techniques of the past to produce the wines of the future
<p>Poças Fora da Serie Touriga Nacional is produced only from Touriga Nacional grapes coming from our property Quinta de Vale de Cavalos (Douro Superior), that shows an elegant and smooth profile with notes of cocoa and ripe fruit</p>
<p>In 2001 began the adventure of Sandra Tavares da Silva and Jorge Serôdio Borges. This young couple at first had no vineyards or wine, but a common dream, a personal project to which they dedicated themselves body and soul.<br />The name Wine & Soul is the consequence of his passion and total commitment to wine. From the beginning the work of this company focuses on an untiring search for exceptional vineyards in the Pinhão valley, the historic heart of the great Port wines, and give them a voice</p>
<p>Quinta da Pacheca is one of the best known estates in the Douro region and also one of the first properties to bottle wine under its own label. It is first mentioned in a document dated April 1738 but it was only in 1903, when Dom José Freire de Serpa Pimentel decided to develop his interest in oenology, began to seriously dedicate himself to the risky business of winemaking. Today, a century and many successes later, a brand-new generation of the Serpa Pimentel family</p> <p></p>

<p>The brothers Antonio and Edmar Monteiro are the founders of the 1912 Winemakers company. <br />The passion for the world of wine comes early in the life of these two brothers, who since childhood helped their father at the Quinta de São Bernardo property on the banks of the Douro River.<br />Later they acquired Quinta de Águas, which allowed them to increase production but maintaining the same quality as the wines produced</p> <p></p>
<p>Legacy is a tribute from Fernando Guedes and his team to the best that the Douro has, a simple homage to the roots of Sogrape. The return to where it all began 75 years ago, the starting point of a dream that continues to project itself into the future.</p>

<p>“Quinta do Vallado, established in 1716, is one of the oldest and most famous “Quintas” in the Douro Valley”. It once belonged to the legendary Dona Antónia Adelaide Ferreira, and still belongs to her descendents</p>
<p>At Quinta do Vallado one can often observe three "Melros" - the common blackbird, and the protected species white-throated dipper and blue rock thrush - wich served as inspiration for the name and label of this wine.</p>
