Palato do Coa started in 2007, when the winemaker Carlos Magalhães challenged 5 of his friends to buy Quinta da Saudade, located in the Douro Superior, Vila Nova de Foz Côa; considered by many one of the best terroir of the Douro region, in Portugal.

|Vinification||Grapes stemmed and crushed. Pre-fermentation cold maceration for 48 hours followed by alcoholic fermentation at temperatures between 26 and 28ºC|
