<p>Rozès was founded in 1855 by Bordelais Ostend Rozès. Its activity is the production and marketing of wines from Oporto and Douro under the brands Rozès, São Pedro das Águias, Quinta do Grifo and Terras do Grifo, as well as the distribution of Pommery champagnes. Its heritage includes its vineyards in the Douro Demarcated Region and the aging cellars in the historical center of Vila Nova de Gaia</p>

<p><span>Quinta da Fronteira Reserva harvest of 2015 has a deep, opaque, purple ruby color with a thin cranberry cherry rim. Dark cherry, dusky blackberry, smoky cedar, licorice, and earthy crushed stone aromas. Blackberry, tart spicy plum preserves, and rich oak flavors. Full body, rich grippy wooly tannins, medium plus acidity, and a lingering tart dark fruit and oak finish. Hefty, intense, tannic. I'll revisit this one in a few years.</span></p> <p></p> <p></p>

<p>Quinta do Javali Touriga Nacional Red Wine presents deep red with violet reflexes. Very expressive nose, predominantly black ripe fruit notes, with some hints of floral aromas (violet). Highlight the toasty notes of the barrel that enhance the greedy appetite of wine, with greater emphasis on nuances of vanilla and coconut. The mouth press for the elegant structure, without being aggressive, guarantees a good persistence, in line with attractive notes of toasted oak barrels.</p>

<p>Pinteivera Red Wine presents powerful nose showing dark fruit at first, along with some “garrigue” and spicy notes. Aromas of fruit (cherries, prunes) macerated in “eau de vie” can also be detected. The whole is underpinned by mineral notes (graphite). Big and full on the palate supported by impressive velvety structure. There’s flesh, weight and depth, all rounded off by an incredibly long finish. The dark fruit comes through again, giving a crisp sensation underpinned by nice mineral tautness that endows freshness and balance.</p>
