The Conde de Anadia wines are born at the Palace of the Condes Anadia in Mangualde-Viseu. Wine production on the estate dates back to the 18th century. Within the walls of the Palace we find the 10 hectares of vineyards, planted at 500 meters of altitude in granite soils, framed to the west by the majestic Serra da Estrela and flanked by the forest of the property. Belonging to the demarcated region of the Dão (sub-region Terras de Azurara) in the vineyards of the Palace we find the typical varieties of the Dão region: Touriga Nacional, Alfrocheiro, Jaen and Encruzado.

<p>Pinhanços is a magic slope that is like a balcony facing the majestic “Serra da Estrela”. Here we have an amazing view of rough cutted ridges that seem like brodery on a towel of an altar that sometimes in immaculated white. On each hill side, a small vilage, a chapel. And small streams wrinkle the landscape, running frightned but quietly slipping to the sea</p>

<p>The Quinta dos Picos do Couto has a very special meaning for FTP Wine. It was on this Thursday, in the beginning of the 90s, that the wine production of FTP Vinhos began.<br />This farm, in the municipality of Tábua, with all the others that over the years has been added to it, centralizes the entire vineyard production of FTP Vinhos in the south of the demarcated region of Dão, totaling already an area of more than 30 Ha of vineyard.<br />The Picos do Couto brand, originating in the name of this farm, represents wines with a modern and appealing profile, according to new trends</p>

The winemaking operation has been a family activity for several generations, in the beginning they were delivering their grapes at the Adega Cooperativa. In 1999, with the end of the superior studies in Viticulture and Enology of João Paulo Gouveia, son of João Coelho Gouveia, they decide to create their own wine. The vineyards were restructured, others were acquired and a modern wine cellar was built and with a high technology, all respecting the culture of the Dão demarcated region. In 2014 the name of the company became Pedra Cancela Vinhos do Dão Lda</p>
