<p>Matilde Reserva Red Wine is produced from the region’s own grape varieties Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca and Tinta Amarela and fermented by the traditional method of treading the grapes by foot in granite tanks. It aged for 18 months in new French oak barrels. The colour is ruby and the aroma is intense and complex to black plum and fig, followed by cedar. In the mouth the wine is voluptuous and with a good acidity. Tannins are well present but very smooth, resulting in a perfect balance and long-lasting after taste.</p>

<p>Dona Matilde is produced from Old Vines with local grape varieties, mainly Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca and Tinta Amarela. It is a wine with a ruby color, with a complex aroma, initially to cherry and strawberry followed by mint, fig and spices. In the mouth it is soft and smooth but with plenty of volume and structure. The wine shows hints of strawberry throughout the taste. Long aftertaste.</p>

<p>Dona Matilde White Wine was produced from the grape varieties Arinto, Viosinho, Gouveio and Rabigato. It is a wine with a citric colour and a very intense citric aroma, with tropical notes, anise, some passion fruit, mango and hints of pineapple, a fresh finish with notes of orange and lemon verbena. In the mouth it has a taste of tropical fruits, with a balanced acidity, a great structure and a long aftertaste.</p>

<p>Fartote is the informal wine of Dona Matilde’s portfolio. The label and name was based on a visit of an English group who wrote about their adventure in the old guest book. </p>
