Its owner, fascinated by the beauty of the site and its excellent location, promptly invested in accessing the property and planting vineyards, olive trees and almond trees.
Years later, her son, despite being a career military, never ceased to worry about property and its evolution. Meanwhile, he reached the commander of the Lamego barracks, but still spent much of his time at his Seara property. During their absence from the barracks soldiers were sent to Seara to receive orders from the commander. The popular ones, astonished by the soldiers' passage on horseback, asked:
"Where are you going?"
To which the soldiers replied:
"Let's go to Quinta da Seara to take orders from the commander ..."
And then, from that point on, the site was renamed
"Quinta da Seara D'Ordens".
