The most experienced and knowledgeable team of tasters in Portugal has evaluated, for a year, thousands of wines, from all regions, styles and price segments. The red wine Ribeiro Santo E.T. did not go unnoticed!

Another great reason to want to try or certainly repeat the experience!

A limpid and open color. It has delicate aromas combining the notes of red fruits with the nuance of tea and spices. On the palate is very elegant with an acidity well marked, the tannins are very soft with a long and mineral finish.

The harvest took place in the second week of September. The red and white grapes, were harvested together by hand, into small boxes of 18kg, according to a careful selection of the best grapes in the vineyard. The resulting juice went to a small stainless steel tank, where the fermentation took place, with soft pumping for a good extraction of color and aromas. After the fermentation the wine remained in the barrels for 12 months.

Quinta do Ribeiro Santo estate, located in Carregal Sal, is a property acquired and restored by the winemaker Carlos Lucas, with the aim of producing wines with his own personality.
It was an ancient property of the local priest, surrounded by a stream where water flows all year round, so it was named "Quinta do Ribeiro Santo", which means "Holly River Estate".

The vineyard is planted with the local varieties, such as Touriga Nacional, Alfrocheiro, Tinto Cão and Encruzado, which were planted in poor ground granite, with large rocky outcrops, which overlooks the Serra da Estrela.

The vineyard is planted in an integrated production system, revealing great concern with the environmental issues. The combination of cultural practices associated with the careful use of organic products that respect the environmentally, originates a balanced production.
